I dont like it at all, but if forced I'd only use it on a boy.
As for gender mis-matched names...well I know a guy called Kylie and I have known of guys called Kim and Stacey. Apparently these are supposed to be gender neutral, but personally I think them very girls only. I know a girl called Sean, which I find to be much to masculine for a female.
