Message: "Zan" - Behind the Name

One of my friends' names is Alexander, but he goes by Zan. I'd never considered Zan as a nickname for Alexander before, but I really like it. Do you think it works?

On a side note, his brothers' names are Tyler and Maclean. Interesting. WDYT?

I like Xan this way as a full name and on a girl.

It works, if you say Alex+ zander. But I say Alex+ zahnder.

Not a fan of Tyler or Maclean.

I like it. It's better and more refreshing than the overused nickname Alex.

My ex-boyfriend has a daughter named Alexandra, and called Zan, by the way.

I think it works. I've tried a few times to get some of the Alex's I know to go by Xan or Zan (because I know too many Alex's). Alexander and Alexandra have so many options, but everyone seems to just stick to Alex :(

I don't particularly like Tyler or Maclean, especially Maclean.
