I was one that just commented on it, and I wasn't really an active member a while ago, so I wasn't here when you asked about it.
I love Homer, Homer Atticus being my favorite, it's really handsome. I don't think of Homer Simpson at all (but then again, I love the name Cosmo, which is the name of another cartoon character here). I think of all the amazing mythological creatures and stories inside the Odyssey. It's a very rich name.
I don't know anyone named Homer, I don't think it will get popular.
I don't really love the nn Homie, but I can't think of a better one, and it's kind of cute.
I imagine a Homer being a tall dark and handsome, a Greek hottie!
I don't really like Homer Richard, Homer Atticus is just so smashing in it's rich history, that said, while I don't love Homer Atticus Richard Asher, it's not that bad. I am used to names that long in my family, and I love honoring people in names.
(Twin boys named Homer Atticus and Richard Asher would be amazing)
