[Opinions] Re: Homer

1. Do you think of Homer Simpson?
> Yes.
2. Is Homer Simpson the only "person" you can think of? I mean does he pop into your head first or can you also think of someone/something else?
> No. The first Homer that comes to mind is, well, Homer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homer
I also think of the baseball term, if that really matters.
3. What would you except someone named Homer to be/look like ?
> Quite homely and bland.
4. Do you know anyone named Homer? Do you know why they were named Homer and what their middle names are? Do they get teased?
> No, I don't. I don't even know of anyone named Homer.
5. Do you think a child named Homer will get teased? Is the name trashy because of the character? Does it sound stupid/dumb/trashy to you?
> Yes, I think he'd be horribly teased. God forbid the kid ever have weight issues. I don't think the name is trashy in the way Nevaeh or Jaden are trashy, but I do think it has been ruined by Matt Groening. (It never sounded good to begin with...)
6. Do you think it could get popular? (Two celebrities used it even though that was eight years ago or so, one was Richard Gere.)
> Honestly, no.
7. Do you like the nn Homie?
> No, it's quite ugly to my ears.
8. What do you think of Homer Atticus? Homer Richard? Homer Atticus Richard Asher (too long?)
> First, can I say that you do not need to put a space between the end of your sentence and question marks?
Seconly, Homer Atticus and Homer Richard and nice combos certainly, but they are nms. Homer Atticus Richard Asher has bad flow, and sounds like four names just thrown together with no real consideration other than that each individual name is nice. It would be best as Homer Richard Asher or Homer Richard Atticus. The latter is best imo, as Asher doesn't seem to fit with the rest.
