Ellis some non-standard nicknames for Elizabeth that I have seen in use: Babs, Beffers, Belle, Bess, Besse, Bet, Bethy, Bets, Betster, Betta, Bettyo, Bibster, Bif, Biffster, Eli, Elise, Eliz, Eliza, Elsa, Izzy, Lees-mon, Lib, Libster, Libz, Lidda, Liddy, Lil, Lillybet, Lisabay, Lissa, Lissy, Lit,Liza, Lizard, Lizbeth, Lizbutt, Lizza, Lizzard, Yiddabet.
Margaret: my favorite is Margaux
Margot, Marguerita, Rita (!), Greta, Gretel, Gretchen, Marjorie (originally Margery), Margie, Maggie, Madge, May, Maisie, Daisy (!!), Maidie, Meg, and Mog.
As for Peg, one historian writes, "the nicknames Mog and Meg later gave rise to the rhymed forms Pog(gy) and Peg(gy).
