Here's to hoping that we'll have a daughter at some point and not just a bunch of crazy boys. :)
I think Maggie is a bit childish too, but she'd always have the wonderful Margaret to fall back on when she's older. I think it's nice just by itself without a nickname, but for a little girl I think it needs one.
