[Opinions] Josephine vs. Josephina

Josephine, nn Jo or Josie.

Josephine
Although the nn Fina is adorable for Josefina. I suppose you could still pull it off with Josephine, though. Josephine nn Fina. Yeah, it works. Joey also works. I'm not fond of putting genuinely masculine names on girls, but I think it's totally fine for a NN. Kyle, Billie, Nick, etc. all make perfectly fine NNs for a girl. In fact, I find masculine NNs kind of cute. I think the reason why I like Josephine is because of the historical connections with Napoleon's wife. Not that Napoleon himself was really that great of a guy, nor was his wife outstandingly loyal, but it makes for an interesting backstory.

Josephine..
I think the 'a' in unnecessary.
It's ok, but not really my style.

Josephina
Because I like the nn Ina, and because it's prettier. I don't care for Jo, Josie or Joey. Sophie is ok, but not a very intuitive nn for Josephine.
In general, I'm getting tired of Josephine. A co-worker just named his baby Josephine. I think it's a bit too popular right now.

Josephine.
I prefer Josephine.
