What do you guys think of Candice? It's something I've never thought much about, but two of the most influencial women in my life have been named Candice, so I'm now really turned on to it. What do you think of it as a fn? As a middle name? Can you think of any nicknames for it besides Candy? Thanks!

My sister is named Candis (this spelling - which is after our paternal aunt), so I have a fondness for it, in any form. And I plan on using it as a mn for a daughter, if I ever get the opportunity. ;b
My sis is now in her 40s, and she was called Candi while growing up, but insists on being called Candis now. However, she hasn't been able to shake off family and old friends calling her "Candi" (which I do, too), but it doesn't bother her with us. I don't think it needs a nn, though. One reason she was always called Candi was because our Aunt Candis sometimes lived nearby, so it was a way to differentiate. So I have a hard time calling my sister that, because in some ways I do still associate it with our crabby old aunt. ;)

Yup I also prefer "Candace". I can't associate Candy with Candice/Candance though... I think the name itself is short and sweet enough.

I've always really liked this name. It would be great to see as a fn or a mn. I can't think of any other nns than Candy, though.

LOVE it.
However, the nn Candy is holding me back. I adore the name and think it's classy and underused. My favorite teacher in my preschool/kindergarten years was a Candace, so I also have the good association.
I can't really think of anything except for C.C., CeCe, or the other variants of that particular nickname.
