Help[Opinions] Allison, Amy, Amelie, and Eamon
Tell me why I should or shouldn't like these. I've been thinking about them for a few days, but I don't know if I like them or not yet.
A really good combo might sell me too. I'd probably be most likely to use them as MNs though (at this point at least).

Allison (or Alison?) - always annoys me because it ends in "son"; I know this is actually quite an old female name, but "son" names always strike me as masculine and seem to have a newly-minted feel to them
Amy - love it; it's not as popular as it once was, but it doesn't feel dated at all; it's also got a nice meaning
Amelie - can't get past the movie association

I prefer Alison. I suppose it's a name I feel indifferent towards, although it is quite nice. Combos...urg. lol. Um. Alison Georgette, Alison Mary/ Maria, Alison Eve...okay, sorry I'm not doing so well today.
Amy. Awww. I think this name is really sweet. I really like...Isabel Amy I think. Zabel Amy? I think that's pretty neat. I think it makes a really nice, unexpected MN, although it is quite overused as a FN. Florence Amy, Veronica Amy, Jessamine Amy, Georgette Amy, Fredrika Amy, Constance Amy...
Amelie kind of bugs me because there are so many vowels. Silly, I know. It is quite pretty, and reminds me of the movie.
I used to like Eamonn...but then I decided I liked Edmund better. I would spell it Eamonn because everyone I've met IRL with the name has spelt it this way. Plus it looks more solid to me. And you'll have to forgive me for spelling it this way in the list because it takes too much effort to backspce the extra N lol. Eamonn Theodore, Eamonn Tobias, Eamonn Timoti, Eamonn Keir, Eamonn Dmitri, Eamonn Casimir, Eamonn George.

I say Alison is a keeper because it is both modern and historic, and I like the character Alison for the Canterbury Tales. Also it has Ali and Lissa nns which are nice.
Amy is okay. I don't see it as special, I would keep it only if you really love it.
Amelie is lovely, much better than the standard Amelia imo. I would say to keep it but cant give a compelling case.
Definitely keep Eamon. It is a really handsome name, and I think it's one of those names that could fit any sort of guy, but it isn't a run of the mill David or Michael sort of name.

Allison: Its ok, but Alice is much better. Allison is starting to become dated.
Amy: Very 80's, very dated, and equivalent to Jennifer or Megan
Amelie: I love Amelie. It is not very common, and is a beautiful name.
Eamon: Eh. I really don't like this name.
