1. It's okay, I'm not really into most K names-they seem trendy, cutesy, and low class to me (I know that's not true that's just the impression I get) Katelyn, Kayla, Kaylee, Kylie, Kacey, Kaylinn, Kallie, Kyla, Kyra, Kara, Kassie...so many cutesy K names! They are all so similar, they don't really stand out in the crowd.
2. Not as bad as say Kaylie or Kaylinn...but a little along those lines. Kira is not as bad. I like it a little more...it's more classy.
3. I don't think they will pronounce it like Kyra.
4. I would stick with Kira.
5. I've only known of one: Keira -a little baby
6. It's not all that popular I don't think. Kaylie, Kayla, Kylie ect overshadow it...overall Kira is not bad. I like it better than the other K names...it's not nearly as common.
