[Opinions] Veronica
I'm falling in love with Veronica. It's long and feminine and has the same meaning as my name. I also like the nickname Roni (which is also a separate Hebrew name meaning "my joy"). 1. What do you think of Veronica?2. Do you like Roni as an occasional nickname?3. Do you know any Veronicas? or Veronikas? Which spelling do you prefer? How old are the Veronicas you know? Do you know their middle names or their nicknames? do some of them go by Roni?4. Do you think it sounds like the name of a mean stuck up girl (those girls always seem to be named Veronica in books and movies)? What do you think of when you hear the name?5. Do you prefer Vera?6. What do you think of Estella, Adelaida nn Ada, Veronica nn Roni and Maya for sisters? Does Maya stick out? Do you prefer Estella, Adelaida nn Ada, Lola and Maya?

1. What do you think of Veronica? I would think it's rather nice if I didn't know so many bitchy Veronicas.2. Do you like Roni as an occasional nickname? Yes, except I hate names ending in i.3. Do you know any Veronicas? or Veronikas? Which spelling do you prefer? How old are the Veronicas you know? Do you know their middle names or their nicknames? do some of them go by Roni?
I know 2 in their 20s who use the full name but their friends sometimes call them Ronny. One's full name is Veronica Yvonne. I know a girl who would be 9 now called Veronika and she pronounces is ver-on-EE-ka. I know a Veronique in her 20s. Also I know an elderly Veronica who goes by Vero.4. Do you think it sounds like the name of a mean stuck up girl (those girls always seem to be named Veronica in books and movies)? What do you think of when you hear the name? I think "that's a pretty name" until I remember the mean girl from the Archie comics and I realize that most Veronicas I've come across are mean and stuck up, yes. But that wouldn't stop me from using the name if I really liked it.5. Do you prefer Vera? No I hate Vera6. What do you think of
Estella - ok, nms
Adelaida nn Ada,- don't like it, like Adah
Veronica nn Roni and Maya for sisters? It's ok
Does Maya stick out? No not really
Do you prefer Estella, Adelaida nn Ada, Lola and Maya? No

1. I absolutely love Veronica! Its is one of my all time favorite names. Its long and feminine without being to frilly, and ages well. And starts with a "v", which I love.
2. I despise the nickname Roni. A. Because it looks like it should be said roh-nee, as in pepperoni. B. I have an uncle Ronny, and calling a girl Roni would be weird.
3. I used to know a Veronica back in middle school, no one ever called her Roni. It was always Veronica. She would be about 20 now. I don't know her MN. And I like Veronica, not Veronika.
4. I don't think of anyone mean and stuck up. Any name can be used that way though, its not a big deal.
5. Personally, yes I do love Vera a bit more. But Veronica is a beautiful name as well. Close second.
6. Yeah, Maya sticks out. The other names are long and a bit more unheard. Maya is short, sweet, and kind of trendy [I have been running into a lot of little Maya's lately]. I would definitely go with the first sib set, Lola is even more out place than Maya. IMO.

I love the name Veronica. I remember reading a book when I was a kid called Veronica Ganz. I also am a big fan of Vanessa. I'm not a fan of Roni however, or Vera.

1. I used to hate it when I was a little kid, but I've learned to love it. Plus, it's kind of awesome when no other kid in the school has your name. 2. I loathe Roni or any variation (Ronnie). I've always gone by Nikki and there are many variations on that, and I also like Vero. But no Roni or Ronnie. No, no, no.3. I am a Veronica. I prefer my spelling, I'm the only Veronica of my generation that I know. I've met other Veronicas, but not very often. I'm 22, my middle name is Mignon (Veronica Mignon), and I don't go by Roni. I go by Nikki mostly, Pooka sometimes, and Dorkface, but that's just me. 4. Winona Ryder's character Veronica in Heathers wasn't stuck up. I think pinning a personality on a name is really silly. Not all Veronicas are like me, not all Veronicas are like Veronica from such-and-such comic book . . . I think of Elvis Costello's song Veronica. In fact, when I introduce myself to other people, I generally tell them, "Veronica, like the Elvis Costello song." 5. Vera's okay. I prefer Veronica, but Vera isn't bad at all. I think it's quite pretty and a lot of those older names are coming back.6. Funny story, my mom almost named me Maya. Anyhoo, I think Adelaida is the one that stands out. Estella, Veronica, and Maya definitely sound like sisters, but Adelaida is the odd one out. Estella, Lola, Veronica, and Maya go together better.

1. I like it. Not overly fond of it, but it's nice.2. I like Ronnie as a nn for Veronica. Roni reminds me of Rice-a-Roni, and thus an entirely different pronunciation.3. I don't know any, but I know of a Veronica who goes by Ronnie. She's probably around 16. I prefer the spelling Veronica.4. No. I've never thought of it that way, and I can't recall seeing it used on a such a girl in any movie or book.5. No.6. Estella, Adelaida, Veronica and Maya is nice. Maya doesnt really stick out, imo, since Adelaida has a short nn, and the length of the name is the biggest difference. They all end in -a and that ties them subtly together.

I like Veronica, but don't know any. Ronni seems kind of tacky to me. Veronica seems like she would be a very down to earth girl, not stuck up at all. I don't like Vera. I like Estella, but Adelaida is just weird. Adelaide is great, but Adelaida is like Daniella; it seems as though someone just added an a and dropped the e to make it more interesting. I don't like Ada either, Addy is sooooo much better. I like Veronica, but personally don't like Maya. Its just not pretty to me. I prefer Estella and Adelaide. Lola reminds me of the song.

I love Veronica, I think Roni is a really cute nn for a little girl. I know three Veronicas, one is around fifty, another almost thirty and the third is in her late teens. The older two go by Roni sometimes. I don't really think of a stuck up girl and the Veronicas I know are so different that I don't really connect it to a type of personality. I really don't like Vera at all, I know many elderly Veras and it just sounds pretty old and stuffy.I think all four of your names fit and Maya doesn't really stick out. I prefer Veronica much more than Lola.

I like the name Veronica. I'm not so fond of Roni, though. Yes, I know of two Veronicas, although I don't know them personally. The first is Veronica Lodge from the Archie Comics (who also goes by Roni, although I think they may spell it "Ronni"). The second is this girl who was working at the drive-thru window last week at Wendy's. She was real pretty, though. She had a pearl necklace. She seemed nice, if I recall correctly....I am quite fond of the name Vera. It seems like a harder sort of name, like for a more confident girl who doesn't smile a whole lot and has her eyebrow pulled up questioningly all the time. But I suppose it could work for anyone.

I like Veronica. It's interesting without being weird, well-known without being overly popular. I know a little girl about ten or twelve named Veronica. She is sometimes called Rocky by her family. I used to work with another Veronica, she'd be maybe 40, I don't think she had a nn.I'm not crazy about Roni, but it can be kind of cute. I can't stand Vera, it puts me in mind of a blowsy, bleached-blonde, gum-chewing, chain-smoking waitress in a crummy diner. If you want to use Ada (which I think is old and unattractive) I would just use it without ruining a pretty name like Estella. Estella is too nice not to use as a given name.Lola is gross too.Maya and Veronica make a pretty sister set.
