[Opinions] Heinrich
It was my Swiss great-grandfather's name, and I've been thinking about it as a middle name. WDYT?

I loveloveLOVE Heinrich, but I couldn't use it just because I always think of Himmler. But I think it's very handsome and also very nice-looking when written down.
I think it's alright. I like the sound of Henrik better, but Heinrich is a pretty cool family name to be able to use.
I quite like it, though I don't know if Iwould use it. It sounds very strong and sturdy, which I like.
(There was a time when A lady came into the shop where I work. She was calling 'Heinrich! Heinrich, come on!' obviously to a do. I expected this huge thing to come loping in. Instead I saw a rather angry looking Chiuaua. It was a bit surreal :)

I don't like it. It sounds outdated and is a grandfather name (well, fitting, since it was your great-grandfather's name ;)), the "Hein-" also makes it almost comical to me. If it means something to you, though, and is 'only' used as a middle name, I'd say go for it.
I didn't immediately think of Heinrich Himmler, by the way, I just know way too many Heinrichs.

Heinrich Himmler comes to mind.
That's my first association. I'm sure your great-grandfather was a wonderful person, but the Holocaust association screams "verboten" for me. Sorry.

My first though was Heinrich Hertz..
I guess that just makes me a physics geek.
I was actually talking about Heinrich today with a friend. She wanted to rename 'Henry the Hoover' 'Heinrich the Hoover'.

Me too.
Yea, I'm a physics geek.

...and Heinrich Böll. :D
Those two associations make a real dilemma to me.
ED: I wrote "Himmler" instead of "Böll". This isn't really my day. :D
