I actually came across this as a surname but I think it's really pretty for a girl. Pronounced LAW-nee. Thoughts?

It reminds me of laundry and seems kind of whiney and cutesy to me. I don't like it.

Dislike it.
Launey sounds too much like either laundry or Tawny, which I consider a stripper name. It's also too close to the terminally dated Lonny for a boy. I'd rather see a Laura, Lana, Laurie, etc.
