[Opinions] Love it (m)

I was watching a TV episode of an Agatha Christie mystery once. Martine was the name of a minor character. As soon as I heard it that little name nerd bell went off in my head, "Hey! An underappreciated gem of a name. Not too common, not too weird."
I love the slightly exotic quality it has. It makes a nice alternative to Marie as a mn. Someone on here once asked what we thought of Nadia Marie as a combination. I tweaked it and suggested Nadia Martine. Slavic / French combinations really work for me because they share the same air of mystery and intrigue. Like an Erte drawing.
For some reason I don't find Martina appealing at all. But Martine is so stream-lined and elegant that I find it irresistable. Mentally, I put Martine in the same "impossibly elegant" category as Ines, Colombe and Eugenie.
