[Opinions] Estella
This has been my favorite for a long time. I didn't ask your opinion on the name itself for quite a while so I'm a bit curious what people think of it.1. Do you like the name Estella?2. Do you prefer Stella, Estelle, Estrella or Esther over Estella? Can you say why?3. Do you think of the character in Great Expectations? Was the character to mean or stuck up to use the name for a child?4. Do you think it will become popular? Can you see it in the top 100 or so? Do you think Stella, Estrella, Estella or Esther will become popular? Where do you see them in terms of popularity (top 100, 200, 500?). Do you think if similar sounding names like Stella become popular people will always assume her name was Stella? Would that be a problem?5. Do you think it's harsh sounding or hard to say?then there's the middle name dilemma. at the moment I like:Estella Pax
Estella Paz
Estella Jade
Estella Brooke
Estella Noelia
Estella Natalia
Estella Holly
Estella Rose
Estella Fay
Estella Luz
Estella Luxbut none seem right. any suggestions and comments on the combos? thanks a lot!

1. It's okay.2. I prefer Stella and Esther. Both feel less frilly to me and just seem prettier to me (especially Esther).
I also think an Estella might be constantly mistaken for a Stella, which could get old fast; Estella sounds sort of like Stella with a lisp to me. It's sort of a hissing-sounding name.3. No, I hadn't thought of Dickens at all.4. I doubtit will become too popular. Stella has a better chance of coming further up the charts, but I can't really see it ever getting into the top 100 (it seems to have levelled off a bit in the last couple of years). Esther doesn't look like it's really going anywhere. It's maintained a pretty steady spot in the 200-350 range for about half a century now.5. I think it's harder to say than both Stella and Esther. There's something awkward about the sounds at the beginning of it.Of your mn choices, I like:Estella Rose
Estella Lux

Yes2. Do you prefer Stella, Estelle, Estrella or Esther over Estella? Can you say why?
I like Stella better because the E at the beginning puts it a little over the top, and I like the wordiness and look of Stella.3. Do you think of the character in Great Expectations? Was the character to mean or stuck up to use the name for a child?
No because I dont remember anything about that book.4. Do you think it will become popular? Can you see it in the top 100 or so? Do you think Stella, Estrella, Estella or Esther will become popular? Yes. I see Stella definitely in top 100, possibly 50, and Estella in top 500. I think a lot of people would assume her name was Stella and it could get annoying. If you love it enough it's okay though.5. Do you think it's harsh sounding or hard to say?
No.My favorite combo is Estella Holly out of these, it is sweet without being too sweet, and not too rich and not too harsh and not contrived.

1. Do you like the name Estella? Yes.2. Do you prefer Stella, Estelle, Estrella or Esther over Estella? Can you say why? I prefer Estelle because I've been playing a game with a character named Estelle and it's grown on me. I like Esther about the same as Estella, though the two don't really fit in the same category for me.3. Do you think of the character in Great Expectations? No, because I've never read it.4. Would that be a problem? I see all of those hovering around the middle of the charts, with Esther and Estrella a little lower. Yeah, there might be a little confusion if Stella or Estelle suddenly got popular, but it would probably not be that big a deal. It would probably be like Natalie and Natalia or something.5. Do you think it's harsh sounding or hard to say? No.I don't think Estella flows well with other names that end in A. Estelle Natalia would be really pretty though. I like Estella Jade and Estella Rose.

I like Estelle the best. It seems to be a bit more sophisticated than the others for some reason. I don't think Estella will become super popular.

I do like Estella, but I prefer the simpler Estelle. I find that the 'stel' sound is very feminine as it is so the added A at the end of Estella makes it a bit frilly. Estelle is great though!I haven't read Great Expectaions so no, I don't think of it. :PI can definitely see Estella increasing in popularity since it's so similar to Stella, which I know is already popular in the UK. I can't say the same for Estelle and Esther though. I don't see them becoming really popular any time soon. From your list I quite like Estella Paz. I think that the mn should be feminine, but a little harsh to offset Estella's saccharine.
WDYTO Estella Ruth, Estella Mary, Estella Catherine, Estella Ivy, Estella Odile, Estella Maude?
