I know one little 3-year-old girl named Sophie, and a newborn baby named Sofia (variant of Sophia).
I don't think it will go back into popularity any time soon but maybe in the future.
I pronounce it So-FEE-a.
I like Sophie and Sophia.
I don't like Alexandria Sophia because of the double "ia" sounds. I do like Alexandra Sophie though.
