[Opinions] Lemuela
Feminine form of Lemuel... just struck me as a possible addition to my long list. WDYT? Any nicknames that pop to mind?

Personallly, I think its beautiful and original. I like the nicknames Ella and Layla. Possibly even Em.

I'm not a big fan of Lemuel, or even Samuel. The "-myool" (= mule) sound isn't pleasing to my ears. Even if you are pronouncing it more like "-myoo-ell" I still don't care for it.So Lemuela doesn't even get out of the starting gate for me. Just out of curiosity, how are you pronouncing Lemuela: "lem-yoo-EL-uh?"

Probably lem-WELL-ah. I'm pretty sure that's closer to the actual Hebrew pronunciation, since Samuel is originally SHMWELL (Shmuel), not SHMYOO-ell.

I don't like it at all. It just makes me think of this little buddy here:Nicknames? Hmmm, Ela? Lem(my)?

I have the same association:-)I'd still not name a child after an animal however cute, but it might make a good pet name.

Sorry, but Lemuel makes me think of lemur (pronounced the Croatian way) and Lemuela reminds me of the illness 'salmonela':-(As for nicknames, how about Lem, Ella, Emma?
