Does no one here play poker?I immediately think of Doyle Brunson! He and Johnny Chan have each won 10 World Series of Poker bracelets. It's a record. But I probably wouldn't use the name.:)

I only like it as a mnI just don't think Doyle rolls easy on the tongue as a fn. I imagine shouting "DOOOOOyl!""You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."

When I was a Father Ted obsessive, I wanted to have twin boys called Dougal and Doyle. You have just this VERY moment got me back onto Dougal, thank you very much. ;-)As for Doyle, I find it hard to manufacture an opinion as it reminds me of "doylie" (those lace things - don't think I've spelt it right...). Also, it rhymes with boil. But it does have a certain air of romantic mystery, ...it could be the name of a character from a victorian romance novel.I hope my rambling has proved useful. ^ ^

I like it only because of Doyle from the tv show Angel. It's a nice name.

Well because I know a really icky guy with the surname Doyle I don't like it. I do however like the name Coyle which is Irish Gaelic and means "follower of battle."
