It's such a cute and sweet name! I prefer Joe-zee over Joe-see when it comes to pronunciation. It could definitely work as a full name. I was actually just thinking of this name last night.

I think Josie is a good nickname for Josephine. I like this name because of the book Little Women. Jo is a strong, wonderful character in that book.

My grandmother's full name is Josie, not Josephine. I think it's fine on its own. My grandmother is glad that her name is Josie and not Josephine because she dislikes Josephine.

I think it should be a nickname.

Josie is sweet, but I'd only like it as a nn. Josepha ("jo-SEF-uh"), Josephine, Jocelyn, Jocasta, even Johari and Johanna could all work as full names for Josie.

I think it could work as a full name, despite it being a bit cutesy. I much prefer it as a nn for the lovely Josephine though.
