I met a woman with this name today.
What do you think? I thought she meant Canaan at first, but when I check it here I see it is Turkish.

...and spelled Canaan. I don't particularly like Canan on a female, even if it is a legit Turkish name.
Oh, and just as an aside, general board etiquette dictates that one should consolidate posts as much as necessary. Just thought I would mention it so that you don't get in hot water later.

Sorry. I didn't mean to cause a problem re: the two threads. I thought of the other one after this one. I figured out how to edit a post after that and I can use that in future.
