Bradley is an important family name for me, and I always hated how it has been used by others who don't share my family background.I think it is even worse on a girl, not feminine at all.

Ahh! Definitely not for a girlIt's way to masculine.

sighI love Bradley. The only reason it's not on my list is because I love many boys names, and try very hard to steer clear of the over-popular ones (mainly to help eliminate names off the list, and the fact that I was one-of-many-Kristina's in school). I still encourage other to use the classics before using Rowan or others in the like. But Bradley on a girl? First I see nothing feminine about Bradley (and I'm not one to use a frilly name for a girl). I absolutely HATE it when others use masculine names on girls. Then people stop using them on boys because they are "feminine".

I don't like it as a boy's name either, let alone for a girl. I can't see it ever fitting a girl.

I don't like it much for a boy, so I think it sounds horrible on a girl. Honestly, I can't wait for the surname trend to go away (no offense).

No.And it's not just because I dislike blantant gender swapping lately (sad, because I used to like it enough). It's because Bradley is so... tired. Clunky. Somewhat bland and just ick. I guess it doesn't help that I know a really terrible Bradley who does nothing to help me like the name.

Well, I'm not a fan on Bradley on boys, but on girls I realllly don't like it. It's bound to be shortened to Brad, by someone, and I just don't like that/can't picture it on girls. Sorry.

Bradley is too masculine for a girlA girl named something overtly masculine is not a nice image in my book. Unisex names are all right, but too many of them seem to be claimed by girls over time.Unless your daughter turns out to be a butch lesbian (or just butch), then I recommend against this one for your daughter.

agreeI can't picture Brad on a girl, either. For some reason, the harsh 'RAD' in Bradley sounds too masculine to my ears.If it's honouring, maybe it could be used as a middle name.Much prefer something like Bryn or Bryony for a girl's first name, though.
