[Facts] How is the name Helena pronounced in English?
The same as Helen, just with an 'a' added to it? Or is it pronounced as Hay-lay-na?
Thank you in advance!

In English, there are three pronunciations I know of, all about equally popular:
heh-LAYN-uh
HEL-en-uh (Helen with an 'a' on the end)
heh-LEEN-uh

I prefer HELEN-a but grew up with a girl named he-LAY-na. I've also heard people pronounce it he-LEE-na. There is no one correct way, I suppose.
There's a variety of different ways. HEH-leh-na (Helen with an 'a') and he-LAY-na are the most common, but he-LEE-na is also used.

I'm Australian and I usually say HEL-AYN-UH unless I meet a Helena and she tells me its HEL-EE-NUH.
