Truthfully, I don't really think it is all that trendy unless you count it under the broad "boys names on girls" heading, and even there, it has a history of use (see: The Great Gatsby, 1925). That being said, at work when I see Jordan on a list of student's names, I usually default to boy, but I agree with its spunkiness on a girl.
