Is it pronounced the same as the male name Micah? Cause that's how I'm saying it. If so, then I only like it on a male.
Mika....is my dogs name
I pn it Mee-ka
It's a nice name.
I can't really get behind naming a child "after" or very similarly to one of the parents, though. It seems to me to be very parent's-ego-oriented, and that gives me the creepy-crawlies.
ETA - assuming Michael is still alive and present in his daughter's life.

Mica is ok, but it looks too close to the male name Micah to me. Also, I don't know if it is pronounced as MEE-ka or as MY-ka.
I'd prefer another female form of Michael, like Michelle or Michaela.

Sounds like a dogs name in my opinion, this is because I know 2 dogs with this name.

Cute, but how are you pronouncing it?

Promise: *points to receiver* Maybe someone needs to find a way to attach it to this thing so it won't get lost.
