My little sister will name her first chil Junis, no matter if it will be a boy or a girl.
I think Junis for a boy ist quiet nice, but for a girl?! Oh well...

What do you think of Junis? Can you think of some nice alternatives for a girl? Or at least some nice FN so Junis will be just the MN?

If I were her, I would choose Junia (there's also Juno, June, Juniper) for a female, Junis for a male. Apparently they are forms of the same name. You have some good combos! I like-

Junis is strictly male. I think it's gorgeous in German.

Sounds like Judas.
I'm not religious, but the fact that it could be Judas's kissing cousin still kind of puts me on edge.
If your sister insists on using it, I think it sounds slightly better on a girl.
