[Opinions] Shiloh
Shiloh for a girl. What do you think? Do you think the nn Shy is appealing for a girl?
Do you think it has the potential to get really common (top 100 or so)?

Shiloh=the beagle from the books
I like it
I shouldn't. I know I shouldn't. But I do...
Actually that has been happening more and more lately. There are names that the name snob in me tells me I should hate for all the right reasons but for some reason, I still like them.
I think it will get quite popular- I predict top 100 within the next 3-5 years.

hm...
When Angelina Jolie's daughter Shiloh was born, btn changed the status from "masculine" to "masculine & feminine". Another name "going to the girls". In English, it's true that the name sounds rather feminine (to me, at least) and - unfortunately? - I really like it on a girl, and I think it's pretty great. But on the other hand, it's another "Jaden" or whatever that was originally just male (or so I think - correct me if I'm wrong) and now isn't anymore. I find that a bit strange, to be honest.
Anyway, I think its popularity is increasing, and fast, but enter the top 100? I don't think so.
And: I HATE the nn Shy, for any name. It's terribly tacky and not an appropriate nn for your child at all. It kind of labels your child, even if you don't think so. It will, more or less, if not consciously, then unconsciously.

I like Shiloh for a girl and please no nn Shy.
I do like it. Please answer mine.
Shiloh automatically screams Ange & Brad to me. Sure, it's a nice enough name, though it's not really my style, but I think there will always been a Jolie Pitt association. As well as Shiloh the dog movies ;)
I can't see it getting really common, but I do think it's bound to have a little spout of popularity due to our beloved celebrity baby.
