[Opinions] Liv and Solveig
Yup, I'm in a Scandinavian mood today. WDYT? Does Liv sound nicknamey? I love the meaning, though.

I've always adored Liv. And in Scandinavia, I like Solveig very much. Also the variants (Solvej etc.).

Interesting names. Quite good ones, too!I think Liv can be seen as a nickname or it can be seen as a name in its own right.

I love Liv. Although I pronounce it the English way (i.e. incorrectly!), the Norwegian pronunciation seems a little impractical in English-speaking countries. I prefer it as a full name, it loses its appeal for me as a nickname.I'm not a fan of Solveig.

Yes, to me Liv is a nickname for Olivia (like Liz), but I don't have a problem with it on it's own. Solveig is just too Scandinavian to work in any other culture, imo.

I like Liv a lot, but I don't like Solveig.

Liv is growing on me, especially as a middle. Solveig, not so much.
