I think it's all right but incredibly overused. I know soooo many Yildizes, it really needs a rest. I guess it depends on where you live, though.

I prefer Yildiz to both Sevda (eww) and Mildred.

By the Turks in Germany. LOL. :) Judging by just the girls I know, it would be like the second most popular Turkish girl's name after Aylın.
