[Opinions] Lola
I'm kind of starting to like Lola again.1. WDYTO Lola?2. Do you think it's nicknamey? I know it's used on its own in Spain and quite common while Dolores isn't anymore and because it doesn't sound cutesy I thought it might be alright to use it on its own.3. Do you think it's too sexy or does it have a porn star image?4. Do you see it getting really common (lots and lots of celebs used it)?5. What do you think of Dolores nn Lola?6. Middle name ideas?7. What do you think of Kaia Estella, Noelle Victoria, Elsa Cheyenne "Cheyenne" and Lola?Does any of the names stick out?

It's a cool name. I have a kind of phobia of nicknames-as-full-names, but I guess a grown woman can pull off Lola.I don't think it's porn starrish really, but it has a kinda "showgirl" feeling, maybe because of the Marlene Dietreich character and the various songs.

I really like Lola- it's actually my dog's name and I've always enjoyed saying it out loud:) I really don't think of it as sexy etc...it's more spunky and confident to me. I prefer Lola on its own to Dolores- just not crazy about the latter. I think Lola and Elsa sound very sweet together- I don't love it with Kaia, Noelle or Cheyenne.

1.) I mostly think of the Kink's song "Lola," which seems to be about a transvestite.
2.) I like the idea of Lola as a nickname for Delores. It might sound more professional on a job application. And if she (or you) got sick of people singing the "Lola" song, you could go with the full name or another nickname.
3.) A bit sexy, but less than Leila.
4.) Not top 20 common.
5.) Like that idea.
6.) Looking at your list in #7, Delores Katharine comes to mind.
7.) It's fine; to be honest, Noelle isn't really my style, however.

1.I think it's kind of sleazy.
2.Yes, it sounds nickname-y. I would still go with Dolores.
3.I really don't think it sounds good on small children/babies. I'm always baffled whenever a celebrity names their baby Lola, because it's such a grown-up name to me. I picture an aging chick in a bar with a cigarette dangling out of her mouth.
4.I think it's already fairly common.
5.Dolores is all right. Not great, but better than Lola.
6.Sorry, I can't think of any.
7.Kaia, Noelle, Cheyenne, and Lola? I think Noelle is pretty, but the others names sound kind of trashy to me. I've gotta be honest.
