I think Saul sounds unpleasant and old-mannish and I can't get past it's negative biblical associations. Sorry.

I think it's a very handsome name. I like that it's biblical as well.

For some reason to me its one of those names like Boaz, Obadiah or Moses. It is too strongly biblical for my taste and this is coming from someone who loves biblical names. I am into more mellow biblical names like Eli, Gabriel, Timothy, etc... I am not a fan but I guess it could work. I would personally go with another biblical name like Saul Benjamin, Saul David, Saul Jeremiah, etc...
