I prefer the Adela spelling, as other posters mentioned; Adella reminds me of the heavier name Della or Dell.
Adele and Adella have a stressed second syllable that often seems to help the "flow" in the middle name spot. I guess this is why Renee got so popular as a middle name!
Adele is one of my favorite choices for this spot (except my computer geek brothers would never let my daughter live down, "Dude, it's a Dell!" if I actually used it.)
Adelaide is a nice variation that shifts the stress to the first syllable, if you want that name as a first name in a combo.
How about:
Adelaide Viola
The pretty and frilly Adelaida Violet
Or Adella with a more "flowy" middle name: Adella Celeste
