[Opinions] Fairuza
I'm curious as to opinions on the name. I'm not sure if I like it or now. How would you guys pronounce it?

Very nice! I like the male version as well. I think it's pronounced Fay-ROO-sha, but don't quote me on that.

I like it!
I say fa-ROO-zah or fair-OO-zah if I don't have a lazy tongue. That is how the only Fairuzas I've known said there name. Besides Fairuza Balk, who I love, I only know one Fairuza. She is about a year know, and her name is Fairuza Azure (name means "turquoise blue", because her bright and vibrant turquoise blue eyes were a surprise to her brown-eyed parents!
Interestingly, I hear Fairuza Balk say that her parents were going to name her something else until she was born and they saw her unusual turquoise eyes!

Fa-roo-za with the accent on the second syllable. I don't know any but it's not uncommon among Middle Eastern people here.
I didn't know it was Persian or that it meant turquoise. I like the sound of it and the meaning. Not sure you could easily get away with using it if you weren't Iranian though?

I adore it, I say FAIR-oo-zah
agreed
I pronounce it fie-ROO-sah. It's all right but I prefer Fairuz by far. The A feels kind of tacked on. Maybe because I know much more Fairuzes than Fairuzas.
I like it. I pronounce it fay-ROO-jah. I have no idea if it's right or not.
"fay-RU-zah" or "fai (long I)-RUZ-ah"...?
The meaning is pretty... Not sure how I like the sound of it.
I really love Farah or Farrah, though.

That's how I'd say it, too.
I just YouTubed Fairuza Balk and it sounded liked she was saying FA-ruz-a. Not sure what to think, really.

Fair-ROOSE-a
Sounds very made up, no offence

It's a Persian name, meaning turquoise.
I guess it's not white enough for you.
