I once knew a Levent, who was a bit of an obsessive wierdo. My associations with it turn me off the name. Plus, I find it a bit awkward to say. Maybe with an Australian accent it's more attractive, but a North American pronunciation renders it rather ugly. Like someone making a joke about a French vent. "Le vent?"

Hmm...the meaning is a bit shallow but I think it is an interesting name. I can imagine myself using it for a particularly self-assured male character in a story.
