[Opinions] Peridot
I've been liking it lately, especially for a girl. I think it would be a cool name for a child born in August. MN suggestions? Should I leave it as a GP?

Peridot is beautiful!I only love the per ih doh pronunciation though. I love most names that end in that O sound. Margaux, Marlow, Leto, Indigo, Willow. It is very pretty and feminine and conjurs up apple greeen images for me. I think it would be faboulous name.Peridot Esmee
Peridot Louise
Peridot Mae / May
Peridot AnnI do think it flows better with most names as a middleApolena Peridot is my fave Peridot combo.

a GPIt's not one bit feminine and doesn't sound attractive to me at all, It sounds like a surname, or a wine.

Do you pronounce it as it looks, -Per-i-dot, or, Per-i-doh? I've heard both. I myself say the "dot", as written.
Never heard it as a name, but why not? We have Ruby, and Pearl.
I think it would be a pretty name.
