Makes me think of...
Alligators, since it's very close to the name of a kind of them (or its relative of some sort; it's a cayman or a caiman). I wouldn't be too enthusiastic about actually using it since it it's close to (or in the case of one of its variants, it is) the name of an animal.
Despite that barrier, I like the sound of it. I like a couple of -mon names, like Eamonn and Hamon. I think they have a good, strong sound to them.

I'm not a big fan of Caymon, but I really like Caedmon.

the name is nms.. but I like the fact that it reminds me of the islands.. and it is unique.. I love unique names!

It's neat. Nms, but neat. I'd spell it Cayman like the place, but Caymon is okay I guess. The K spelling doesn't look so hot to me; kind of childish since there's a conventional C spelling.

I prefer Cayman (as in the islands)
I think its really cool, im into slightly funky name/place words. At the moment i really like Cajun, Salem, Innocent, Justus & Midnight for boys. I think Cayman would fit with those!
