1. I think Holly is very sweet! It ages well and is one of my favorite botanical choices.
2. I'm in the US, but I wouldn't say it's dated. I only know one Holly, and she is a mom, but the name has never felt dated.
3. Holly over Hollie by a mile; it's the name of the plant, and Hollie looks fake.
4. I think it's definitely appropriate for a Christmas baby, but I also think it's appropriate for a baby born in July. I don't think it's too cutesy, not any cutesier than Noelle or any other Christmas-related name.
