[Opinions] Jennifer
God help me, I am beginning to like this name. I used to hate it growing up, because EVERY girl on the planet seemed to be named Jennifer or Jessica. Now, I kind of like it. And Jenny is such a cute NN.

I really like Jenny as a nn, but I find Jennifer overly boring and not pretty.
*snore*
Dated, overused and boring.

I've never like it much, though I don't hate it. I don't like the final syllable, FER. I don't think it's an attractive sound. Jenny is a nice nickname, though. I could never use this name because it was so insanely popular when I was in my teens and twenties, that to me it will always reek of "herd mentality and no imagination."
Love it
Yes it's a bit dated, but really I don't care about that, there's worse things then being dated, like being tacky, you know? I don't write off a name, just because it's considered dated.
I think it's lovely, and it was really popular for a reason, because it's pretty, sweet, and has an adorable nickname!

Yet another Jennifer here. :) I love my name, despite its epic popularity. I was always one of two or three Jennifers in my class, but it never bothered me. I was bothered by the nicknames Jenn and Jenny, though, and the way people would just call me that without asking...but since you like Jenny, that's not an issue.
Jennifer is still well within the top 100 and used by thousands of parents every year. It's such a pretty name, but, let's face it--the shiny has definitely worn off. Jennifer's more of a mom name now, imo, like Lisa, Heather, or Melissa. I think it needs a bit of a rest, and we'll see it revived somewhat by our grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I won't be surprised if it has a big future as a middle name, simply because there are going to be many Grandma Jennifers out there.

Horribly, horribly dated. I don't think it's fair to saddle a baby born now with it, it's so stuck on the generation born in the late 70s and 80s. This name needs a very long rest, and in 50 years or so will be perceived like Gertrude or something.
If you want to use Jenny, there are other names that can lend themselves, such as Jane.

I'm glad you like my name.
I was one of 6 Jennifers in my hs class. Now, out of college, I've only met one other Jennifer. She has the same middle name as me, and is my cousin's wife. We don't have the same last name, thank God.

It's nice
I especially like that Jenny is a nn. I personally am into a lot of names that were popular inth seventies and eighties though.

I like it [m]
it's my sister's name. I recently found a few baby Jennifers being born.

dated
Sure, it's a pretty name. It got seriously over-used, perhaps because it *is* a good name. The fuss may have died down, now. Maybe it's useable, again.
