I've recently renewed my interest in this old favourite. I've gotten mixed reviews on it when I've mentioned it to friends in the past. WDYT?

It only reminds me of these two girls that used to be bully me in elementary school that were both called Saskia. If I try to blend that out, I kind of like it. I pronounce it SAHSK-yah.

I like it...but I like it pronounced sah-SKEE-a (the only Saskia I've known used this pronunciation), not sass-kee-a.

I love Saskia, it's one of my top girls' names! I just think it sounds so spunky and fresh. The only reservation I would have with using it is pronounciation. I like Sahs-kee-uh, but Sass-kee-uh is how most people I know instinctively say it. Sass-kee-uh would be fine, but it tends to lead to the nn Sassy, which I cannot abide!
