I like Agatha, although I prefer the softer Agnes.
Aggie really is terrible, and I think its inevitability depends on where you live. I'm in Texas, for example, home of the Texas A&M Aggies, a place where people dress babies in "Future Aggie" onsies and drive around with bumper stickers that read "Proud Aggie Grandma," so Aggie would happen here as sure as the sun rises and sets. It may not be such an issue in New York, England, or Germany though.
I think Agatha could come back. I believe Agnes is showing signs of a small revival, and it could bring Agatha back with it.
