[Opinions] Síle?

I posted earlier concerning Sheila, which a lot of people (excepting Bear) seem to think is pretty dated. What do you think of the more "authentic" Irish Síle? It has the same pronunciation, but probably fits better with the Celtic wave of names currently approaching.Also, do you like the combo Síle Rhiannon? Could you suggest some other combos?

I was one of the ones that thought Sheila/Shelagh were dated. (I think I suggested Síle too so yay:)) I really like Síle Rhiannon in spite of myself. Rhiannon is my niece's name.Síle Marina

I'm still not necessarily won over on Sheila or its soundalikes. My problem, I think, is really just the spellings. I don't know what it is but I don't like either. I tend to go for "correct" or original spellings so it's beyond me why I dislike the look of Sheila and Sile so much.Buuuuut, I'm not completely turned off by the sound. With Sile maybe I would pair:Sile Margaret

Sile Rosemonde
Sile Bethany
Sile Justine
Sile Maram
Sile Nerys
Sile Lilias

It looks a whole lot prettier than Sheila, and I'm a sucker for an Irish spelling, but as I mentioned in my reply to your post further up the page, Sheila and homophonous variants are weird to me because of what 'sheila' is used to mean in NZ.

Haha. Sile Shira. Booyah!I actually really like Sile Mayim and Sile Margalit (which is weird, since I usually hate Margalit). Any other Hebrew choices you'd care to throw at me?
