I like Croí - which is the Irish for heart and is pronounced Cree. It's not usually used as a name but a friend of my husband's family called her son Croí - she is Irish living in America.

Thank you! That is a great way to get the name Cree and partially avoid the constant association with the tribe and I love the meaning of it in Irish.
