I think in Welsh the second syllable is usually stressed.
When I've heard this name before it was pronounced like "a-VAN-en", the "a's" being short as in "apple."
I really like and I think the meaning is great :)

I wish the Welsh had checked with me first. I think "AV-uh-nen" is prettier. But if they won't, they won't.
