[Opinions] Cassiopeia?
This has been one of my favourite names for the longest time, and I think it has recently beaten Gemma to become my ultimate girls' name... However, I know not everyone will love it the way I do! So, what's your opinion of Cassiopeia? Which way would you pronounce it? Is it usable (with the NN Cassy?) or strictly GP? Any combo or sibset ideas? My current Cassiopeia favourites are:
Cassiopeia Rosabella
Cassiopeia Claire
Cassiopeia Hermione

I love Cassiopeia. It's a gorgeous long name that seems unwieldy to me, like Andromeda, but, I think it can work.I would pronounce it cass-ee-o-pay-uh.I don't like the nn Cassy at all. I don't like any of the mn choices. mns:
Juliet
Frances
Fernanda
Florence
Guinevere
Gwendolen
Phaedra
Alice
Elodie
Ruby
Opal
Pearl
Celeste

ca see o PAY ah is how I pronounce it. I like the way it sounds, but it is way too long for me to consider using. My limit is 4 syllables and even then it should be easy to say quickly. I also would not like to have to write that all the time. I don;t care for the nn Cassi / Cassy

Cassiopeia Hermione is a beautiful combo. I love Cassiopeia with the nicknames Cass and Cassie. I don't view it as GP at all.
I'd pronounce it cass-ee-o-pay-a. Is this right?
Some combos I like are Cassiopeia Alanis, Cassiopeia Emmeline and Cassiopeia Tanith.
I would put Cassiopeia in a sibset with sisters Alcyone and Delphia, and brothers Lucius and Nikolai.
Hope I helped!

In Sweden, I used to babysit for a little Swedish girl named Cassiopeja, (that was just the Swedish spelling of this), and ever since then I've loved this name. I also love the French version of Cassiopee. From your list I like Cassiopeia Claire.

It's kinda cool but I can't really imagine it on a real person. Of your combos, the only I like is Cassiopeia Claire, I think you need a fairly plain mn with it.
