[Opinions] Ninel
What do you think of the name Ninel? I know some people hate it, but personally, I think it's cute. Do you think it would work? Is Vladimir Lenin a good or bad association in your opinion? Can you think of any good combos? (Does it go with Ivy or Ivory?)

I prefer the spelling Ninelle so that's Nina + elle. That gets rid of the Lenin association. Anyway, I really like it a lot. It used to be a full name for Nell for me. I think it dropped off my list just because it's a little awkward to say. Ninelle Ivy/Ivory would be gorgeous, but I prefer Ninelle Ivy. What a unique combo. :)

I love this name so much! I think it's adorable and goes with Ivory better. Lenin is not the best association, but not the worst either. There are worse associations out there (Stalin, etc.). He hasn't stopped me from loving the names Vladimir and Ninel.

On it's own, it sounds nice, but it's not usable. Lenin isn't just an association, it's the root of the name. People made up this name to honor Lenin, and if that's not your purpose, don't use it.

I think it's a lovely sounding and lovely looking name, but it would be way too hipstery to actually use such a little trinket of Soviet kitsch. Vladimir Lenin is a bad association, lol. Ninel Valentina is adorable.

I think Lenin is a bad association personally, but, I can see the appeal of this name if you don't know the associations and I doubt most people outside of Russia would even catch on to this. I guess it goes ok with Ivy or Ivory.

I really abhor the practice of simply reversing the letters that constitute an established name (e.g. Nevaeh).

I think it's weird to use a name that spells Lenin backwards, and I don't think the association with a violent extremist's so great. I don't think it's really useable, honestly.

Ninel Ivy is very pretty. I like it and I don't think the association with Lenin will make any difference. If you are worried about that though you could use Ivy Ninel which I really like.
Elizabeth Ninel is very lovely as well.
