[Opinions] Re: Dixie
I live in Virginia and all I can think of is the Civil War when I hear Dixie. That association is still painful to many so I wouldn't go there. Still, it has a cute sound and I actually know an almost three-year-old Dixie (short for Dixianna). Her grandmother and I are friendly somewhat and it was her dd who had Dixie when she was 14. Yes, 14! Anyway, Dixie is a darling (couldn't resist there).Does it sound classy to me? No way. Cute, yes. Spunky, yes, but classy and elegant? No.
