Because I think it's simple and classic and beautiful. Marie is too much stuck as a filler middle name, and while it'd be nice to see it as a fn, it's lost a lot of feeling for me. Maria seems more exotic, which I'm rarely into because I'm boring I guess. :P

I've always thought Marie Antoinette was really pretty. Too bad it's attatched to a specific person. Marie Isabella is really pretty too.
