Help[Opinions] Trillium
Here's something outside the beloved "garden variety" floral names on this bard. I have even met one once. She had siblings August (m) and Rose. I think she spelled it with a single L though. Tri(l)lium is very unusual, and, personally I find it energetic. Perfect for a third baby, as the flowers have three petals.

I like the flowers. They are rather unusual, but I can't really see it as a name somehow. Then again, I'd probably still be tickled if I heard it as a name in person.

The Trillium is the provincial flower of Ontario
I still would like it as a name, even though if you had it as a name here people would probably remark and your geography/history teacher would say something haha. It is very pretty and Trill would be a cool nickname.

Quite like it.
It reminds me a bit of a Trillina I once knew, and she was so exuberant and exciting that it's a very positive association. Plus trillium is pretty.
Oh, and Trillian from Hitchhiker's Guide! Love her. :)

Trillium's definitely refreshing; however, it's too reminiscent of the Periodic Table for me.

I'm a big fan actually! It would make a great mn (I don't really like any of the potential nicknames and I imagine a name like Trillium would definitely get shortened at some point). Awesome sibset as well.

Honestly, it looks like a vocabularly word on a Chemisty test. It is not horrible but not pretty to me.

Did you mean Biology rather than Chemistry? I'd hate to think that you were a 13-year-old sock puppet not yet learned on the differences between the sciences.
Trillium isn't really my style [I'm not big on 'Tr-' names], though I don't mind Lilium. It could work though. :)

No, I meant Chemistry. The words looks as though it belongs on the Periodic Table of chemical compunds, in my opinion. I would hate to think that you were not yet learned in the english language and the difference between "looks" and "is." Possibly, I should have added "looks as though it should be..." and I would have been spared such a friendly response.

I remember a mother of an Avery Virginia being here about a year ago (so unless she fooled us all then too...). She has a different account, but I think it's the same person. She likes the same names.

Yes, that is me, I posted on this forum before and shortly after my daughter was born. I wanted to post again, was at work, couldn't remember my password, thus the new account. Not trying to fool anyway, if so, I surely would not make my daughters name, a name I posted freely on this forum, as my username. *wink*
