[Opinions] Cyd
Cyd - I'm really liking Cyd at the moment. I think it's so pretty and cute. I'm not sure if it works as a full name though (and I'm also not sure if I like it enough to use it as a full name.) WDYT? I really love Sydney and I could see myself using that name. Is it weird to use Cyd as a nn for Sydney, and to spell it with a C instead of an S?

A lady I work with has just had a baby and called him Sidney. Sid for short. And just noticed on Facebook my friend's sister has called her new baby boy Sidney!

I think it's cool, but agree that it's not enough for a first name. Maybe Sid or Syd will grow on you. That would be good. I was going to say that if you really loved it you could be creative (ick) and spell Sydney as Cydney. But then I realized the likely miss pronunciation of Kidney and changed my mind.

Definitely not enough for a full name. It would be a little odd to spell it with a C as a nn for Sydney.
