Marigold Helene

ExcellentMarigold is whimsical but at the same time it isn't exactly off the wall either. I prefer it to many standard floral names such as Rose and Violet probably because I love the name Mary and Goldie is too awesome a pet name to pass up. It has also been used more than people think but it's definitely still quite unfamiliar to most as a name which is a shame.I think it's light, warm and sprightly. I love Frances although dislike the Churchill reference purely because little Marigold died so young. Lucy would be my first choice.

I like the name. It is more of a GP to me but nice enough. I like these of your combos:
Marigold Cécile
Marigold Cecilia
Marigold Helene
Marigold Lavinia
Marigold Louisa
Marigold Lucille
Marigold Vivienne

I think it works better as a middle name. As a first name, it sounds silly.Vivien Marigold
Thea Marigold
Susannah Marigold
Ava MarigoldThese combos work more for me than their opposites.

None of those combos exactly call to me. The rhythm of most of them calls for another middle name. If I was going to use just one middle name for Marigold it would be a simple, one-syllable one. If I may do some rearranging, though, these three-namers appeal to meMarigold Frances Clarisse
Marigold Geneva Charlotte
Marigold Cecilia Helene
Marigold Octavia Lenore

I find it too be a tad too stout looking. It seems clunky. I like flowy.
