[Opinions] WDYTO Coriander
Is it usable? I really just think of it as a GP but it's one of my favourites right now. I think it'd be a neat name to have, I mean I wouldn't really mind being named after a spice. I'd probably joke about it but to be honest I don't really remember ever hearing about the spice until I came across this name. Then I thought about the meaning of the spice and I found out that in the "language of flowers" Coriander means lust, but there are still worse meanings for names out there right? So I don't know but I still think it's a pretty neat name haha.
Any combos? WDYT?

You say cilantro and I say Coriander? Not just a spice.
Coriander refers to the leaves (well the entire plant actually) but I see here people are referencing the coriander seed spice only. It's called both cilantro and coriander but I only call it the latter as that's what all my Indian friends call it.

I love it! It is one of my gp out there for boys alongside Oleander (ok, no herb), Bramble (also not quite), Caraway, Sage and - best of all! - Herb! :-)
I think it can totally work, the -ander ending makes it sound familiar to names like Alexander and Cori- is also a sound familiar with names.
For combos: how about mixing Coriander with a couple of spices in your kitchen and trying out which smell best? Wouldn't that be a great naming story?!

I think of a strainer and the spice and a boxer (you, know with boxing gloves in a ring, not the dog.)
I think I'd prefer Corinder and on a boy. You didn't say boy or girl.
Not as a name. I like Corisande (koh-ree-SAN-duh) which sounds similar.
Aw! Thats cute!
Freshly chopped coriander leaves, yummy :)
I adore the plant (and seeds) but it's not for me as a name. There's much worse though. I'd be more keen for it as a middle name.

Which gender would Coriander be? I don't think it's horrible, but I don't really care for it.
I don't really consider it usable, for a first name at least. You're right in saying that there are worse meanings for names out there though. ;)
